The horse first teachers us to be the leader of them to help us become the leader of our mind. To focus the mind, to create, not to be the victim of our thoughts, feelings and actions.

They are the doorway that they carry us through to change our state of awareness.

Wolfgang Kutting, a brilliant rider that has a profound connection to horses in the art of Dressage, describes this unity of a teacher with a horse in a beautiful way. In a translation ‘Horse and Trainer see as one’. Both horse and trainer tune together as one to work in enlightening the rider.

The trainer and the horse have a joint goal and are working from a joint consciousness reading always the signals and awareness of the rider –

  • their body,
  • their feelings,
  • their thoughts,
  • their emotions/blocked or otherwise
  • and right through to their Soul’s fears and desires.

This is the subtle but profound role of an evolved teacher working with a horse to bring forth the enlightenment of a rider. They have worked through their own fears and desires to assist and guide another through theirs.

A horse’s state of awareness is already vibrating at a very clear place, once we are able to be at the same awareness, that is not interfering with the horses, then we are able to influence the situation, no longer as leader but Soul to Soul as co-creators.

As every stage of growth requires new experiences, the teachers (human or horse 😉 ) that you have in your life right now, are matching something within you that either needs challenging or harmonizing and will bring forth both the best and the worst within you. Bring them forth and let your light shine.

There are many roles that a teacher fulfils, this is only one of many.
